For outsiders, it might be surprising to hear that Vonn Bell is one of the more beloved former Cincinnati Bengals players in modern times.
Alas, that’s true: His primetime, bone-crunching hit on then-Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was a symbolic passing of the torch in the AFC North as the then-rebuilding Bengals morphed into a contender that eventually reached a Super Bowl.

Now, Bell’s on to new things in the apparent aftermath of his pro career.
Bell is the latest former notable NFL player to join Deion Sanders as a member of the Colorado coaching staff:

It’s a funny little trivia item, if nothing else. Bell joins Domata Peko as former beloved recent Bengals players who have worked on Sanders’ staff over the last few years.
Peko, of course, is now a coach for the Steelers.
